Terms of Use

By using Masalona you agree to these terms. The service is provided by cesaapps.com (Masalona); contact: cesaapps@proton.me. Your personal data is processed as described in the Privacy Policy.

The service

Masalona personalises stories written by our editors with your child's name and reads them with a narrator voice or an AI copy of your own voice. The app is for parents; whoever uses the app and creates an account must be over 18. Children do not use the app; they only listen.

Your account

You can start as a guest without an account; recording a voice and buying a plan need an account (email, Apple or Google). You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details safe.

Your voice and consent

• A voice copy is made only from a live recording in the app. You may only record your own voice; you confirm that you are the person recording and that the voice is yours.
• Before recording you give your explicit consent and read the consent sentence aloud as the first sentence of the recording.
• The voice copy is used only to read stories in the app, never for anything else; it is not sold or given to third parties (other than the partners who provide the service).
• You can delete your voice at any time; the voice copy and every story read with it are deleted too.

Prohibited use

• Recording or trying to copy someone else's voice without their permission, or recording a child's voice.
• Using a voice copy or prepared stories to impersonate, deceive, defraud or harass anyone, or for any unlawful purpose.
• Reverse engineering, scraping or otherwise trying to extract or copy the app, voices or content, or gaming the free plan's limits.

We may close and delete accounts and voices that break these terms, with notice.

AI voices

The voice copy is made with AI; it is very close to, but may not be identical to, your real voice. The listening screen always says when a story is read with an AI copy. See "How Masalona uses AI" for details.

Subscriptions and withdrawal

The free plan is always available. Silver and Gold are auto-renewing subscriptions bought through the App Store or Google Play that renew unless cancelled. Because a subscription is a digital service that starts at once, with your consent, when you buy it, the statutory right of withdrawal does not apply (Turkish Distance Contracts Regulation art. 15/1-ğ; for EU and UK consumers, you agree to immediate performance and acknowledge you lose the withdrawal right). Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies. Plan contents, payment, renewal, cancellation and refunds are set out in the Purchase Terms (in the app: plans screen → Purchase Terms).

Content

Story texts, illustrations, narrator voices and the app belong to Masalona. You may listen to prepared stories within your family for personal, non-commercial use; you may not copy, sell or share them publicly.

Liability

We provide the service with care but cannot guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Whoever misuses a voice copy is responsible for that misuse. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damages.

Closing your account

You can close your account any time in Settings → Delete my account; your account and all data linked to it are deleted. Deleting your account does not cancel a store subscription.

Changes

When we update these terms we change the date above and announce important changes in the app.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. Your statutory consumer rights, including those of your country of residence, are unaffected.
